Before we touch the design, we want to understand why the current site is failing. It might be a conversion problem, a content structure problem, a technical problem, or simply a visual one. These have different solutions. Treating all of them as a design problem leads to expensive redesigns that do not move the needle.
We start every redesign with a site audit. We look at analytics data (with your permission), map the existing content structure, test the site on mobile and across browsers, check load speed, and identify the pages that are driving traffic versus the pages that are supposed to drive traffic. This gives us a clear picture of what is working, what is not, and why.
The audit produces a redesign brief. This is a document that defines the specific goals of the redesign (improve mobile conversion, reduce bounce on the homepage, make the site maintainable, whatever is most important to you) and the constraints we are working within (brand direction, CMS preference, budget, timeline). The brief gets approved before design begins.
From there, the process follows the same pattern as our website design service: wireframes first, then visual design, then development. But because we have the audit and brief, decisions are grounded in data and business logic rather than aesthetic preference.
We also handle content migration and SEO redirect mapping if you have pages that need to be preserved or consolidated. This is frequently the thing that gets missed in a redesign and causes traffic to drop post-launch. We do not miss it.
